Discover the Gateway IP Address

If you can’t find your gateway it is possible to log directly into the gateway from the gateway's IP address. Follow these steps to discover the gateway's IP address:

  1. Log into your account on and go to the "Modlet Network" tab.

  2. Select the [Add Gateway] button but don't follow the on-screen instructions,

  3. At the bottom right corner of the screen, select "Or access gateway IP directly"

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the WAN MAC or Ethernet MAC and search for the gateway.

If you don't get an IP address back this could mean your gateway can't reach the internet. Reboot the gateway and double check the network cable between the gateway and the router.

If you are provided an IP address, make sure your computer and the gateway are on the same subnet. Click on the gateway IP address to display the gateway sign in page. Once you have signed into the gateway with your account the gateway will display on your Modlet Network tab.

Also, your router is responsible for assigning IP addresses. If you sign into your router admin pages the DHCP list should include devices that are connected. The ThinkEco gateway should be listed with it's IP address.

If you are still having trouble, please copy the Zigbee or Wireless MAC and the WAN MAC or Ethernet MAC on the back of the gateway and open a case with ThinkEco Support Team.
